Boogers and Body slammin'

Thought I'ld share two my "funnies" from last night.

On the way home from shopping (with just Austin), we were rolling along rather quietly. Since he doesn't usually travel solo in the back seat, I thought he might be lonely. I decided to strike up a conversation.

"Watcha doing, Austin?"
A slight pause, then excitedly, "I eatin' boogies, Momma!"

His cuteness meter takes a huge nose dive.

"No, Austin. Don't EAT your boogies, that's nasty. That's yucky. Girls do NOT like it when you eat boogies.

A slightly longer pause from the back seat, as I'm assume he's processing this information.

And then, his response: "Boogies yummy, Mommy!"

----------

Last night was also Back to School Night for my two little part-time school goers. Gary had told me that, at the Pumpkin Patch, it looked like the boys had made a new friend with a little boy named Grayson. So, in the classroom last night, I wasn't surprised when I heard two excided shouts of "Grayson! Grayson! as he and his parents walked into the room.

I smiled at the cuteness as Logan took off from across the room with a big ole' smile on his face and made a beeline for what at first looked like a big ole' hug for his new pal. But you know when two football players do that jump-chest-to-chest-thing in midair. Well, that's sort of what it looked like, except that Grayson wasn't quite prepared for this type of twin to twin excited greeting and instead, he ended up flat on his back counting ceiling tiles.

Amidst the shrieks and shouts of the parents/teachers in the classroom, Logan upon seeing his friend sprawled out on the floor got really embarrassed - which is something new they've been doing a lot of lately (getting embarrassed when in trouble). And when Logan gets embarrassed, he gets mad. So after body-checkin' his classmate, he walks over and angrily smacks ME!

Hi class, we'd like you to meet El Brute. Anybody want a play date? We've got a great idea for a snack, too!

Pumpkin Patch Trip 2

Mommy's turn! I took the kids on our Church's Pumpkin patch trip. It was a wee bit colder than when Gary went.

But I thought my boys rocked their fall sweaters and hats!
We tried a new "patch" this year. And we were a little disappointed with the children's area.
"Corn. Gee. Thanks, Mom.""I wanna go play over there, Mom!" "We're not allowed in that cool looking tent, honey."
Then, behind the cool, awesome tent that we couldn't play in, was this lamo "chicken-wire" and sticks maze .
At least, at first it looked lame. However, the kids really could not get out and it was cracking me up!

Fun stuff. And yes, I sprung them right after the video tape! lol
Then off to a BIG corn maze.
And to some pumpkins...
Whoops! Lost one.

CHEESE!
Mom - you might have thought it lame, but we had a blast!

Pumpkin Patch - Trip 1

Gary was off work and he went with the kids on their Preschool trip to the pumpkin patch.

Do you like my Preschool T-shirt? It's a little hot to be out here on the farm.

What do you think of this pose? I think I'm "workin' it!"

Ahhhh - nothing better than a pile of mulch!

Hey - come over here - there's something down there!!

It's our favorite - PIGS!!!!

I WANT the pig!! Let us IN!

Hey Austin - if we stretch these wire enough, I think we can find our own way in.

Ut-uh - being hauled away...
Hey - the pigs are back that-away....

What is this? Preschool Prison? Let the pigs FREE!
Oh - we're here to get pumpkins! I like this one.

Daddy didn't let me keep this one. ;-(

Funny side note: Last year, in Antigua on my extended pick-up trip, I nicknamed the boys Peanut and Pumpkin. If you remember Logan got really sick and was a few pounds smaller than Austin. So, he was Peanut. Austin - Pumpkin. Then, I made up a little "diddy" -

"Peeeeeeeeeeeeee-Nut, Peeeeeeeeeeeeeee-Nut Butter and Pumpkin Pie....and Pumpkin Pie."

Hey - I was getting very little sleep and was a little delirious at times. Anyway, I never said a was a song writer.

But - we've been singing that little song for a year now. So much so - that Austin and Logan yell out - "Pumpkin Pie!!" every time they see a pumpkin. Or rather..."Punkie-Pie!"

Diaper Dancin' and Go Team Go!

If you are in need of a laugh, this is a must watch! Or maybe it's just me getting a kick out of watching my kids entertain! lol

I was sitting on the floor occupying them (or was the other way around?) while the rest of the folks finished up dinner. They had no clue how much fun was going on a few feet a way.

Rarely will I tell you to watch one of my videos ALL the way through, but this one is worth it, at around 1:00 minute - they switch to marching bands and around 2:30 minutes they switch to cheerleaders. What can I say, it was an action packed evening!

Guatoberfest - a Recap

(First off, anybody offended if I ask for you to PRAY for my computer? lol It is so unbelievably slow and I REALLY don't want to spend boo-coo's of $$$ fixin' it. Argh!!)

Okay Guatoberfest 2008. Our first (but not last) year attending. What a blast! LOTS and lots of families and unfortunately chasing two very active 2 year olds did not lend to a LOT of mingling other than the quick 5 second - "Hi - your kid is adorable! How old is he/she? Where are you are from? Ooops - gotta run, SO nice to meet you!!" hahaha

We arrived early to spend some time with our friends- Gwen, Jen and Mia, who we had met our on pick-up trip. And WOW - what a blast we had with them all weekend. Our boys adored Mia, and well, they adored Jen and Gwen, too! We were on the same floor - the 15th (no - NOT the penthouse!) and the boys had a lot of fun running back and forth between our two rooms.

We also got to meet Kelly, Ralph, Skylar and Onnie. Princess Kelly was holding court in the grand ballroom the first night and we were graciosuly allowed to dine with her and Queen Skylar. The rest, they said, is history! (P.S. if you are EVER feeling a little down and gloomy, go read her blog (Skylie Smiles)! Her commentary will have you in tears laughing - and her daughter will amaze you with all of her skills and personality...no pressure, Kelly!).

Okay, apparently I just carried my camera around the entire weekend and didn't really take any pictures. So, I've been forced to "lift" them from other blogs. And add in a few from my own pathetic attempt at capturing all the fun!

But, without further ado - more pics...

(I know it's really long, I don't think I'm good at making these things! No editing skills.)

And - check out my sidebar, I've added lots of new friends to my blogroll.
