Shopping for babies!

Well, I’ve waited SO many years to finally to be able to shop for baby clothes and I let LOOSE this weekend!! Grandma and I spent a mint at Gymboree, then on Saturday – I went back to the mall and went to Gymboree, Old Navy and Macy’s – Gary and I picked out an amazing outfit for the boys (I had high hopes of not dressing them alike, but it is just TOO hard to "coordinate" and SO easy to "match') to wear next spring (it’s a little hard figuring what sizes, but we guessed). We thought it was the cutest outfit in the store. However, when we got home, Mason and Evan thought it was the dorkiest thing they have ever seen!! They hit the floor laughing at us! If they had their way, they would dress them in Nike and athletic stuff ALL the time. I have a feeling that’s what they'll like, too!! Just so they can be like their older brothers!

Updated to add what i wrote in my journal this day:

Boy – we should wish you could be here with us! I went shopping this weekend for you – I’ve waited 38 years to shop my babies clothes and I let LOOSE!! Grandma and I spent a mint at Gymboree, then on Saturday – I went back to the mall and went To Gymboree, Old Navy and Macy’s – Daddy and I picked out an amazing outfit for you two to wear next spring (it’s a little hard figuring what sizes you’ll be then. We thought it was the cutest outfit in the store. However, when we got home, Mason and Evan thought it was thedorkiest thing they have ever seen!! If they had their way, they would dress you guys in nike and athletic stuff ALL the time. I have a feeling that’s what you two might like, too!! Just so you can be like your older brothers!

Did I tell you I met twin girls from Guatemala? Well, somebody else (up in PA) is adopting little girls, I think Olivia and Sophia?? They were July 1, I think.

And Sesame street is still wondering if you’ll be able to play with them? What do you think? I have no idea if that’s something you’ll enjoy. I of course would love to show you off to the world, but firlst need to make sure you’re okay and adjusted here first before we throw you into anything glike that.

I worry about that, you know – how you two will do adjusting to us, to new family. It causes me muchpain, knowing that we have to take you away from all that you’re familiar with and used to and love, I wish I could have been there from the start. I promise, we will love you, love you, love you’re whole life.

DNA?

;-( Waiting, waiting, wiaitng…..no DNA tests yet so we can’t travel yet and we are dying! Each day, every second, every minute we are hoping and praying and waiting for word that we can travel to meet Austin and Logan.

Gary did finish moving old furniture out of the nursery today, so hopefully Anne and I can start painting soon. Grandma and I are going to go shopping this weekend, Gymboree is having a big sale – I can’t wait to get those plump little bodies into all these cute, adorable – yet manly outfits! ;-)

I need to update everyone on your growth and on Grandpa’s new medicine for his brain tumor.

I also spoke with your new doctor today, Dr. Smith. She is so excited about you guys and is going to meet with Daddy and me before we bring you home.

God is Good!

GOD IS GOOD! HE answered my prayer in less than 24 hours – it’s amazing! We could not have afford to go visit Austin and Logan pre-adoption trip – flights are at about $1200 and then hotel stays, plus food and baby care stuff. Gary gave me $800 he won in gambling and then we got Buddy passes that only cost $300 for our flights!! Amazing!!!

Anne also announced to the world today that she is also pregnant! Whoopee! We get to have babies together, how fun is that? ;-)

Gary and I are off to go register!

8/28/06

Wow, just when you think you can’t wait anymore, it gets more intense. Right now, Gary and I are waiting on anything, just something to come through. We still do not have our 171H form, we submitted that about 7 days ago. We can’t move forward with DNA until that’s done. We can’t visit the boys until DNA has been done. Also, we’re waiting to see if the foster mother will writeus back. We gave her a letter and an envelope in the hopes that she would write us back.

Also, we’re waiting for the boys next medical update. So far they’ve been every 4 weeks. And lastly, we’re waiting to hear back fro mLisa just to hear that we’re doing okay. We know our 171H is holding things up in Guatemala, but I guess I’m just looking for reassurance.

I literally sit at my computer and hit, refresh over and over and over again.

In the meantime, we’re going to go ahead with the nursery and with the registering.
